Just a few more days...

and then school is officially out for the year. It's been a roller coaster folks. This year really pushed my leadership skills, not to mention my teaching skills. It made me really think about how I am as a teacher, and as a person.
I'm going to miss these guys.
But, it's not all sad. Nope, not at all. With the end of the year comes a much needed, and well-deserved, break.
In the meantime, I got my nightstands and I ordered my coffee table. I can't wait to see it in my apartment. It's big, and takes up space, but it'll be such an improvment.

But alas, there are a few more days to go, so off to bed with my book & a cup of tea.

Almost there...

As I'm closing in on the end of the school year once again, I'm finding my brain capacity for blog posts dwindling. Frankly I'm tired. Just tired. And my brain is pudding on top of it all.
I sit in meetings and I hear stuff...important stuff! I just can't absorb it any more.
So rather than think about how many report cards I still have left to write, or how many assessments are left to grade, I've decided to look at the positive stuff coming up in my life.
Including but not limited to:
  • my first visit to LA.
  • Girls' trip to Las Vegas (also first time ever)
  • paring down my TBR shelf
  • Nightstands!
  • A Kindle?
  • more sunny days that I can actually enjoy

There's more. So much more. Like I said before though, my brain is pudding. So this'll have to do. What are you looking foward to?

Any one else?

Is anyone else besides me feeling the crunch? There's never enough time, we all know this. But now there's really not enough! Three weeks left of school, with at least four-five weeks worth of material I still want to cover. Oy.
On the other hand, three weeks until summer! It's felt like it around here, what with all the sun-shiney weather we've had. Bee-you-tee-ful!
So to celebrate summer's approach, please congratulate the winner of Giving Up the V...Allison (aka Anonymous). Wooh-hoo! I'll get it into the mail shortly.

I spent most of the weekend working, but managed to get some outdoor time in by rollerskating around Greenlake with The Boy. How about you? What did you do?
