Book Girl Dance of Joy...
There's nothing like coming home to find a package on your doorstep, at least when that package is full of books you ordered only days before (Go Fast Shipping!!). It's even more exciting when said package includes the highly anticipated Unpredictable by the fabulous Eileen Cook. I met Eileen at the Emerald City Writers Conference last October. She's hilariously funny and wonderfully sweet...qualities I admire in a writer and a friend. So why am I so excited for this book, you ask? Simple really. Take a bumpy cover, fabulous red shoes, and the tagline, "She's no psychic-but she can fake it she has to...." and you know this is a book I'm dying to get my hands on.
And now, the wait is over!
To whet your appetite, here's the back copy blurb:
Sophie Kintock isn't crazy, she just wants her guy back. And posing as a psychic to give his new girlfriend a fake reading designed to break them up isn't going overboard, is it? Don't answer that.
Faking psychic powers turns out to be easy and fun, especially after a few lessons from Nick, the cute (if a bit nerdy) skeptic, who knows all the tricks of the trade. But her readings do a lot more than she could have predicted - and she's offered a job telling fortunes on the radio.
Now she must decide if she should accept her rising stardom in a less-than-honest line of work. And whether the best option is trying to rekindle her old flame - or finding romance with someone new.
And most important, she needs to figure out whether the answers lie in the stars - or in herself....
Now, if that doesn't convince you to buy this book, I don't know what will. Maybe an interview? Hmmm...you'll have to come back and see about that one. But while you're waiting, go here and buy this book!
