Contest time!
It's been too long folks, so to gear back up into what is my normal life (and away from all the drama of the last month), we have a contest.
Entering is easy, all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me what you love best about fall. See? Simple.
What's the prize, you ask? In honor of the new school year I have a YA themed treat for you. The winner will receive a signed copy of the now out of print Braced2Bite by Serena Robar, a copy of Shrink to Fit by Dona Sarkar, as well as a copy of Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr. All of these authors are fun, fabulous, and guaranteed to leave you wanting more.
So leave me a note, and take a chance. Winners will be announced Friday, September 26th.

I started reading Serena's books after last year ECWC. Love her stuff- and Wicked Lovely is lovely too. : )
What do I love best about *this* fall in particular? Meeting my new son who is due Thanksgiving Day but I've been told will probably arrive much sooner.
As for a more generic answer: pumpkin-anything! I love this time of year. :)
Michigan football games, apple orchards (the smell of fresh made cinnamon sugar donuts, and washing those down with some excellent preservative-free cider), wearing all my long sleeves and pants again, the changing colors of the leaves, Renaissance and fall festivals, TV premieres, and HALLOWEEN!!!! What's not to love about fall?
Ohhh, well, fall is my favorite season, so I have MANY things I love. I'm with ms.g on the apple orchards with cinnamon sugar donuts and cider (yum!!), but I love caramel apples, too, soups with harvest veggies, the beauty of cornucopias overflowing with produce... Best of all, though, I love crunchy fall leaves and the trees flaming with color :).
Hey Erin! It's the crisp! That's what makes Fall the greatest!
The air outside has an exciting edge to it that shouts change, the leaves flip their colors and then release/float/swirl everywhere I walk or drive, the back-to-school morning fog happens and everything everywhere smells homey with cedar, cinnamon, woodsmoke curls and leave mold.... lol And don't forget the fruity kind -- (I heard that!) -- but pears and apples shall not be left out!
When do I get to see you at work? I need to quit taking weekend off -- pam
I love the colors of fall! Just moved here from Texas a little over a year ago. I used to think the colors were ugly, but that changed once I saw the leaves change and fall off the trees last year. It was like nothing I had ever seen before. I think people here take it for granted, but I think its a breath of fresh air!!
Fall is the most wonderful season where I live. The bright blue skies and the abundant sunshine are what makes this place a haven. Also the amazing Balloon Fiesta which takes place each year.
Fall is the beginning of a new year for me. It represents a fresh start of school, the end of summer and the beauty of this special season. I look forward to apple picking from the orchards and the incredible days of walking in the early morning clean, fresh air.
While most think of January as a beginning I regard September and Fall as a special time of year. The best and the loveliest. The heat of summer has lessened which means being outside is a pleasure.
What I enjoy the most about Fall is the cooler temps and the extremely beautiful weather. I look forward to walks with my dogs now that it has cooled down. I make plans to spend time exploring areas which are nearby and going to apple orchards which I love.
Since I am a teacher Fall means back to work and school which is welcome after a long, leisurely summer. Iti s a busy time which I relish. The scenic changes always inspire me.
