Some days...
Some days you just need a call from your best friends. They aren't the happiest days, and yet they are some of the best. They make you laugh, they make you think, and most of all they don't let you take yourself too seriously.We all need someone like this. We need the friend who has your back unconditionally. Who knows all your secrets. Who would sit next to you in jail and say, "Dang, that was fun!" Who tells you when the dress looks stupid, or when the hair-do is fabulous.
In my latest manuscript, my main character has two of those friends. One is a co-worker, the other has been her friend for years. Neither is afraid to tell it to her like it is, and call her on all her, um, stuff.
NY C is one of mine, and I can't wait to see her in the next few months. Who's yours?
