An open letter to the man sitting in the car next to me...
Air-quotes are a very important visual tool. They come in pretty handy when I want to make a point. Wildly gesticulating also helps me to get my points across.But neither make a darn bit of difference when the person you're talking to IS ON THE OTHER END OF YOUR CELL PHONE.

Snort. I talk with my hands too. Even when on the phone. My theory is it helps me think. Sure I look like an idiot, but I'm certain it helps
It was the air-quotes that killed me. I talk with my hands too, but I usually reserve the air-quotes for an audience.
