Wandering...

Since I moved into my condo a couple of months ago, I've taken to wandering my new neighborhood. Partially I'm trying to familiarize myself with it, partially I want to see what kind of homes there are. But there's a small part of me that's looking at these houses and picking out a few and thinking to myself, "I could live there one day."
*snort*
I've been a homeowner since October and I'm already looking for my next place.

What have you been up to in this dreary weather (though admittedly, it's been beautiful the last few days)?

Random thoughts...

Why is it we so often hear the bad news but rarely the good? I've started watching a new (to me) show on HGTV called Holmes on Homes. In a nutshell Mike Holmes, contractor extraordinaire, goes around the country fixing the mistakes other contractors have made...but refuse to fix. His show, while not my cup of tea as far as it's all construction, reminds me there are still good people out there trying to make a difference.
In other news, I've veered from my normal reading to pick up Have a Little Faith by fellow Detroiter Mitch Albom. It leaves me crying half the time, but I don't care. It's well written and I constantly find myself mulling over what he has said at different points in the book. This is my favorite part about reading. When a book sticks with me long enough that I find I can't stop thinking about it.
Of course, I also love the lighter reads that don't require me to polish off a box of kleenex while I read. It all just depends on my mood I guess.
So I've shared my randomness with you, now it's your turn. What's on your mind this week?

You know you're engaged to a geek when...

He sends you a spreadsheet comparing your current car to the 4 other makes/models you're considering swapping it for. I do love this man.
