Back in the saddle...
With the craziness of the new school year, finishing my YA manuscript, sending off requested partials of other manuscripts, getting into National Boards, and buying and moving into my condo let's just say writing hasn't been on the top of the list for a little while. But that's about to change. With the long Thanksgiving weekend approaching, and a handle on my grading for report cards, I'm planning to get at least a couple of pages done on my new manuscript. There are still a ton of kinks to work out, but just the act of pulling out the alphasmart to charge last night already has me feeling a little less shaky, a little less antsy. Now, I'm not expecting to get a ton done. Not with so many people around. But a little bit. I'm good with a little bit. It's like dipping a toe into the baby pool. What are your plans for Thanksgiving?

The Stuff Fairy hasn't left the condo yet, but at least everything is finding a home. The Boy and I worked most of the weekend to finish putting away all that was left after Wednesday's move.
Okay, let's face it, I would have left it sitting in boxes through the weekend. I deserved the break! But knowing how irked this would make R, I gave in to the unpacking. Now my office is mostly useable, my bedroom is gorgeously neat, and my living room is oh, so comfy.
This doesn't mean I refrained from launching a few koosh slingshots at him, though.
I'll have pictures for you soon, but we all know the disaster that is my camera. Plus, I'm drowning in report cards. So I'll leave my Toasted Coconut office to your imagination for now.
Dad's in town, the rain is back, and the move is on. Needless to say the week is a wee bit crazy. Thankfully, the crazy has sent me back to the gym tonight, with plans to go back tomorrow. It's been too easy to let most of my good habits slip over the last two months. The stress is definitely not good for me. So it's back to the gym for me. How about you? What good habit are you getting back into?

Where does it all come from? I swear, when I moved here 6 years ago I made it in a couple of car trips. The movers took all the heavy furniture, but they were done in a couple of hours...and that was with the monster stairs. So where in the world did all this stuff come from? R and I took 4 loads of boxes to the condo this weekend...and there's still more! I'm pretty well convinced that the Stuff Fairy comes to visit me in the middle of the night and leaves behind piles for me to pack and shlep. What does she leave you?
