New love of my life...

Sorry folks. This may be a bit misleading of a title. The new love of my life is the new London Fog latte at Starbucks.
I don't even like Earl Gray tea all that much, and yet this is the drink to buy. Can someone explain it? Because I sure can't.
Maybe it's the creaminess of the milk, mixed with the soothing elements of tea. Maybe it's the vanilla flavor. Maybe it's all of the above.
I don't really care, to be honest. I just know I love it, and I hope it sticks. It's replacing my normal drink of choice, and since I don't love coffee, this is a very good thing.
So please, Starbucks, I beg you. Don't take away my new love.
Please.

Stupid human tricks...

It apparently wasn't enough that I burned my mouth on my tea earlier today, while out at lunch with an acquaintance. No, apparently the rest of me was jealous.
This entry probably should go under the "caution, don't drink and talk" heading. I was chatting away with Ms. L, pretty darn proud of myself because I finished my pages for the week, well before my self-imposed 6pm deadline, when I went to take a sip of my tea. Thankfully, it had cooled down quite a bit from when I'd ordered it, since I'd been working on it for at least 40 minutes at this point, or else this story would not have the happy ending I know you're all waiting for. So there I am, talking, when my tea took on a life of its own and decided to go visit my shirt.
Yup, spilled it right down my shirt. Not on it, mind you, but down it.
Yeah, I'm smooth.
There I sat, trying to continue my conversation in the middle of Starbucks, while sereptitiously trying to dry myself. At one point I was trying to wipe tea off my stomache before the rest of the front of the shirt got wet, all the while wondering how bad the whole thing must look. At least I can say that I'm pretty sure no one noticed.
Man, I hope no one noticed.

Is it supposed to smell that way?

I stopped tonight for tea with a friend. The tea list, as I believe they should all be, was quite long, with oodles of options. So I took a chance and ordered the Scottish Breakfast tea. I like English Breakfast, and Irish Breakfast is my morning tea of choice. But Scottish Breakfast tea? I'd never heard of it.
Was it supposed to smell that way? They warned me it had smokey flavor. But I couldn't place it. The smell was somewhere between Beef Jerky and Bacon. It tasted like normal tea. But something about the smell just didn't fit. I'm pretty sure my tea is not supposed to smell like bacon. I realize they are both technically breakfast foods, but still...c'mon!
